GREEN SHOOTING

Sustainability is our focus
fechnerMEDIA has been setting standards for sustainability for over 30 years – not only in front of the camera, but also behind it. In order to always be at the forefront of energy efficiency, green equipment and environmentally conscious set design, production manager Gabriele Di Stefano underwent further training at the Stuttgart Media University (HDM) in 2021 to become a certified Green Consultant. The practices at fechnerMEDIA are based on the „Green Shooting“ and „Green Motion“ initiatives of the Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (M.F.G.). These guidelines apply to all fechnerMEDIA productions:
100% renewable energy in the company and the team’s home offices
Vegan/vegetarian, regional and seasonal nutrition
No domestic flights and CO2 compensation for all unavoidable travel
Energy-efficient technology
Avoiding single-use plastic
Collaboration with local technical crews on international shoots
Fair payment
Diversity of people in front of and behind the camera
Preference for environmentally friendly accommodation
High ratio of women in the team
