FUTURE TALKS. A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE

Carl-A. Fechner in conversation with media entrepreneur Frank Otto

In the course of his eventful life, Carl-A. Fechner has met many impressive personalities. These encounters shaped his thinking, influenced his films and continue to inspire the director to this day. In the series “Future Talks. A personal perspective.”, Carl-A. Fechner embarks on an all-electric journey to people whose visions are worth sharing.

The series kicks off with a conversation with Frank Otto, media entrepreneur, music producer, artist, mail order heir – and political activist. Although the last term has characterised Frank Otto’s life since his youth, the public hardly perceives him from this perspective.

In Hamburg, the two media makers Frank Otto and Carl-A. Fechner talked about environmental activism, resistance to nuclear power, vanity, influences, personal drives and much more.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IS A PIECE OF CAKE, as this short film made for SICK AG in November 2017 shows. Since then, SICK AG has been passing on these ideals to the next generations and, with this in mind, invited 120 children to the Plant-for-the-Planet Academy in Waldkirch.
